Application of titanium material in the chlor-alkali industry

  The parts of these equipment used to use non-metallic materials, because the mechanical properties, thermal stability and processing performance of non-metallic materials are not ideal, resulting in the heavy equipment heavy, large energy consumption, short life, poor quality and other phenomena.

Application of titanium materials in other industries

Titanium crevice corrosion occurs in a boiling 0.3% sodium chloride solution and in a 6% sodium chloride solution at 40℃. Generally speaking, when the temperature exceeds 130℃, titanium is not used in the strong water halide. If the Ti-0.15Pd alloy is used, the use temperature limit can be raised to 180℃.The crevice corrosion resistance of titanium alloy varies with pH, temperature and chloride concentration. Titanium is corroded in aluminum chloride and zinc chloride medium, and titanium is more suitable for oxidized chloride solution.

Main applications of titanium in the chemical industry

1.chlor-alkali industry. 

Titanium in the chemical industry in the user is the chlor-alkali industry. This includes the production of chlorine gas, chlorine oxide, pesticide, drifting powder, etc., in the production of chlorine, titanium equipment and pipelines account for almost a quarter of its total mass. 2.the soda ash industry. 

In the production of soda ash, titanium material is mainly used for crystallization external cooler, distillation tower top ammonia condenser, ammonium chloride mother liquor heater, plate heat exchanger, umbrella plate heat exchanger, carbonization tower cooling pipe, carbon dioxide turbine compressor rotor impeller, alkali pump, etc.

3.vacuum salt production industry. 

Titanium ammonia evaporator, titanium preheater, titanium precooler, titanium flange, titanium tube plate, titanium pump shell and titanium elbow.

4.Petroleum and chemical fiber.

 At present, whether imported from abroad, or the domestic self-design and manufacture of polyester, nylon, vinylon and other petroleum chemical fiber enterprises have used some titanium equipment. 5.Fine chemical industry.

6.inorganic salt industry.

 Inorganic salts mainly include chlorate and potassium salts. The domestic sodium chlorate production has developed rapidly in the past two years, with the total production capacity exceeding 1 million t, and about 500,000 t in the expansion or preliminary work, titanium chlorate making equipment mainly includes electrolytic cell, titanium anode, reaction generator, evaporator, etc., every 10,000 t sodium chloride needs to use about 15t titanium material.
